Our 14th building addition at Depauw houses our new "U-Line".  This machine allows us to bypass the Double End Tenoner process by using a custom saw blade to cut off excess wood and plastic.  The line then applies an edge band before using a robot vacuum to lift tops and send them to a return conveyor to eliminate excess handling. 
 
Installed in 2020, this line has drastically increased our productivity for applying edge bands and improved our quality by reducing handling.  This state-of-the-art line can produce over 800 banded tops on a single shift.  See the line run in the video below.
